  time of arrival to Israel. Visas to Israel are not required for persons fr
 om Australia\, Canada\, the United States and Western Europe.\n \nHair Dry
 ers St. George’s Pilgrim Guest House rooms are equipped with built-in wal
 l hair dryers. However\, The Sisters of Nazareth Guest House does not equip
  hair dryers in their rooms. We do recommend carrying your own just to be o
 n the safe side.\n \nElectricity and Electronics The electrical current in
  Israel is 220AC. Electrical plugs are shaped differently in Israel. Most U
 .S. phone and camera chargers only need a power plug adapter for sockets ty
 pe C and H (see internet or local travel store). If you bring a hair dryer 
 you will need a transformer and an adapter plug. However\, inexpensive dual
  voltage hair dryers are available in the U.S. and in travel stores. Dual v
 oltage items must be switched over to our 220AC and can then be used with o
 nly an adapter plug.\n \nPhotography and Cameras Care should be taken not 
 to photograph any military or police personnel or installations. Visitors s
 hould also be discreet about taking photographs in Jewish Orthodox areas an
 d of Jewish Orthodox people. Most sacred sites will indicate whether photog
 raphy is permitted.\n \nMealsAll meals are included. Breakfasts and dinner
 s will be served at St. George's Guesthouse or at the Sisters of Nazareth. 
 Lunches are in local restaurants throughout the day. Your guide will pay fo
 r the lunches and tips. In addition\, there are several nights when you may
  want to enjoy the local restaurants on your own. When you do this\, the ho
 tel must be notified the day before. The cost of the missed meal cannot be 
 reimbursed. Indicate any dietary restrictions on your leader’s registrati
 on form. Beverages during your evening meal are purchased separately from y
 our waiter\, so it is wise to bring some extra money with you to the dinner
  table. All varieties of soft drinks\, mineral waters\, beers\, and wines a
 re available.\n \nBooks You will not want to bring many books. However\, p
 ack a journal and perhaps a map\, a guidebook to read at night\, a Bible or
  prayer book if it is small. Sometimes a kindle\, iPad\, or cell phone is a
  great place to store your books\, even for storing a Bible or Prayer Book.
  Excellent books are also for sale at St. George’s College and the nearby
  Educational Bookshop.\n \nTransportation from Tel Aviv to JerusalemQumri 
 Pilgrimages will provide luxury coach transportation for the group arriving
  at the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and also for the group’s departing
  transportation at the end of the pilgrimage. Pilgrims and baggage will be 
 transported to our hotel in Jerusalem\, approximately a 45-minute drive.\n
  \nCoffeeMany hotels and restaurants serve instant coffee\, Nescafe. If yo
 u are not a fan of Nescafe\, please plan accordingly.\n \nWeatherSpring an
 d Fall (late Mar/Apr/May and late Sep/Oct/Nov): Daytime temperatures will b
 e very pleasant\, in the 60º's to 70º’s in most of the country\, howeve
 r it will be hot at the Red and Dead Seas. Jerusalem temperatures will be c
 omfortable in the 40º to 50º’s in the evening. There will be some rain 
 - nothing torrential.\n \nFree Time There will be planned “free time” 
 within our itinerary\, usually two half days or one full day. Qumri Pilgrim
 ages is happy to suggest a variety of activities for pilgrims to choose fro
 m\, including particular shopping areas and additional places of special in
 terest.\n \nLanguageEnglish is understood and spoken widely in most touris
 t areas. Arabic and Hebrew are the official languages in Israel. The folks 
 from Qumri speak English\, Arabic and Hebrew so they can always help.\n \n
 WalkingPlan to be able to walk comfortably for 20 minutes at a time. Bear i
 n mind that the terrain is sometimes rough and dusty. In most areas there a
 re places to sit and rest while waiting for the group. Comfortable walking 
 shoes are essential!\n \nWhat to Wear and What Not to Wear! Women – Plea
 se dress conservatively in skirts\, slacks or capris (that cover the knees)
  for Holy Land sites. No tank tops\, shorts or sleeveless blouses\, please.
  Short sleeves are fine. Bermuda shorts are fine for the walking tour in Ga
 lilee. You will want to be able to dress up slightly for church on Sunday a
 nd for a few special nights. You will also need a sweater or light jacket f
 or potentially cool evenings.\nMen – Long pants\, jeans or khakis\, are n
 ecessary most days. Bermuda shorts are fine for the walking tour in the Gal
 ilee. You might want some long-sleeved shirts for church and a few special 
 nights.\nHats\, Sunglasses and Sunscreen for Everyone - You will need a hat
  and sunglasses\, also sneakers and/or walking shoes that can handle cobble
 stones. Otherwise\, shoes are entirely up to you. Do not forget your sunscr
 een!\nJewelry - A watch is helpful\, but a lot of jewelry is unnecessary. M
 any people enjoy finding a silver or gold cross - or some special earrings 
 while on the pilgrimage.\n \nLaundry\nMany pilgrims handwash a few items i
 n their bathrooms\; they will dry overnight. There is also a laundry servic
 e available at St. George's Guesthouse for an extra charge. If interested i
 n this service\, please ask the front desk and they will provide you with a
  laundry bag that you must write your room number on. Laundry is usually do
