However\, The Sisters of Nazareth Guest House does not equip hair dryers in their rooms. We do recommend car rying your own just to be on the safe side.\n \nElectricity and Electronic s The electrical current in Israel is 220AC. Electrical plugs are shaped di fferently in Israel. Most U.S. phone and camera chargers only need a power plug adapter for sockets type C and H (see internet or local travel store). If you bring a hair dryer you will need a transformer and an adapter plug. However\, inexpensive dual voltage hair dryers are available in the U.S. a nd in travel stores. Dual voltage items must be switched over to our 220AC and can then be used with only an adapter plug.\n \nPhotography and Camera s Care should be taken not to photograph any military or police personnel o r installations. Visitors should also be discreet about taking photographs in Jewish Orthodox areas and of Jewish Orthodox people. Most sacred sites w ill indicate whether photography is permitted.\n \nMealsAll meals are incl uded. Breakfasts and dinners will be served at St. George's Guesthouse or a t the Sisters of Nazareth. Arabic and Hebrew are the official langu ages in Israel. Bear in mind that the terrain is sometimes rough and du sty. In most areas there are places to sit and rest while waiting for the g roup. Comfortable walking shoes are essential!\n \nWhat to Wear and What N ot to Wear! Women – Please dress conservatively in skirts\, slacks or cap ris (that cover the knees) for Holy Land sites. No tank tops\, shorts or sl eeveless blouses\, please. Short sleeves are fine. Bermuda shorts are fine for the walking tour in Galilee. You will want to be able to dress up sligh tly for church on Sunday and for a few special nights. You will also need a sweater or light jacket for potentially cool evenings.\nMen – Long pants \, jeans or khakis\, are necessary most days. Many people enjoy finding a silver or gold cross - or some special earrings while on the pilgrimage.\n \nLaundry\nMany pilgr ims handwash a few items in their bathrooms\; they will dry overnight. Ther e is also a laundry service available at St. George's Guesthouse for an ext ra charge. If interested in this service\, please ask the front desk and th ey will provide you with a laundry bag that you must write your room number on.
