On May 3, 2025, the Rt. Rev. Amy Dafler Meaux was consecrated and ordained as the Ninth Bishop of West Missouri, and first female bishop diocesan. The service was held at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City, where several hundred joined and celebrated the diocese’s new ministry with Bishop Amy.

“I look forward to all that the future holds,” writes Bishop Amy. “I am sure there will be more moments of fellowship and fun, worship and prayer, hospitality and service. I cannot wait! Please know that I am always available to you: my door is always open.”

Thank you to our search, transition, and consecration committee for all of their hard work and dedication in helping us discern and prepare for our Ninth Bishop. And thank you to the Cathedral staff, volunteers, and everyone who had a hand in helping make these last two years possible. Your faithfulness, leadership, and compassion is valued and we look forward to continuing a wonderful ministry with you and Bishop Amy!

Almighty God, the giver of all good gifts, in your divine providence you have appointed various orders in your Church: Give your grace, we humbly pray, to your servant Amy now called to the office and ministry of a Bishop in your Church; and so fill her with the truth of your doctrine and clothe her with holiness of life, that she may faithfully serve before you, to the glory of your great Name and for the benefit of your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
