The Discipleship team’s mission is to support Christian formation for people of all ages across West Missouri by listening to congregational needs, sharing resources, and encouraging best practices. We seek to nurture spiritual growth through intentional formation, helping bring people of all generations closer to God and live out their faith in every part of life. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we’re here to walk alongside you.

Our Different Ministries

The Diocese of West Missouri focuses on several different age groups for formation and spiritual growth. From young children all the way to adulthood, we equip, encourage, and empower the faith of everyone to prepare future disciples in God’s Kingdom. Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry provides a safe and welcoming atmosphere so children can learn the stories of our faith, build friendships, learn spiritual practices, and grow as full members of the Body of Christ.

Youth Ministry

Through programming, connection, and resources, the Youth Ministry Discipleship team seeks to inspire, educate, and empower young people to live the Good News and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.

College and Young Adult Ministry

Young adult ministry attempts to cultivate leaders by making resources and opportunities available to assist them in building and finding a home within the Church.

Adult and Family Ministry

Adult and Family ministry seeks to intentionally nurture and develop spiritual growth, theological reflection, and Christian practices to bring every generation in the Church together.

MIQRA: A Weekend Retreat for Youth

Grant Request

The Spiritual Formation Commission of The Diocese of West Missouri has money budgeted to assist congregations and ministries of the diocese in offering programs and events that will contribute to the Christian Education and Spiritual Formation of the Members of the Diocese. If you would like to request a grant from the Commission to assist you in your endeavors, please review the grant criteria and then fill out the form by clicking the button.
