Eucharistic Minister and Eucharistic Visitor Training

Training for Eucharistic Ministers who administer the sacrament at scheduled services of the congregations is in the hands of a deacon, should one be assigned to that congregation. The training should include some very
practical issues relevant to how people receive the sacrament. A seasoned Eucharistic Minister can also be very helpful in this training.

Training for Eucharistic Visitors, who take the sacrament to the homebound, to the hospitals, and to other institutions, is to be done by one of the deacons of the diocese. If the congregation does not have a deacon assigned, another deacon in the same deanery can be contacted to provide this service. The deacons are eager to be of support and help in this way.

No license for a Eucharistic Minister or a Eucharistic Visitor will be granted without the consent of the Member of the Clergy in charge of the congregation.
