As the law states that it is the clergyperson who has the primary responsibility to establish whether permission may be granted or not, I, as Bishop of The Diocese of West Missouri, do promulgate the following policy, which shall be in effect in and for all congregations and parishes of the diocese:

Firearms shall not be brought onto the properties of parishes in union with the Convention of the Diocese of West Missouri; onto property of the diocese such as the Diocesan Center or that on which congregations are located; nor to any events sponsored by such parishes, congregations, or the diocese. The only exception to this policy is when sworn officers of the law, duly licensed to possess and carry such firearms, come onto said properties in the course of their duties.
