What to Know for the 2025 Annual Convention

Convention is only a couple weeks away! As we approach this important event on November 7 and 8, the diocese would like to share some reminders for you to know ahead of Convention.

Bring a Device with Internet Access

If you’ve registered as a delegate or alternate, you must bring a device that can access the internet in order to vote. It is also strongly encouraged to NOT connect to the Cathedral Wi-Fi and use your phone’s data plan, if possible. This will help reduce the load time for people connected to the Cathedral’s Wi-Fi to vote and view documents smoothly. Only connect to the Wi-Fi if your device cannot function without it.

Bring a Cushion

All registrants are allowed to bring a non-metal framed stadium seat cushion to use in the nave of the Cathedral.

Convention Materials can be Found Online

All Convention materials will be provided in a packet when you come to Convention. In case anything is missing, or if you prefer to view online, you can access all Convention material information on our 2025 Annual Convention page. A link to each item is also available below.

Hotel Reservations

Hotel reservations must be booked by Friday, October 24. Instructions to reserve are below. If you experience any issues with your reservations, please contact Rachael Orth for assistance.

Call Instructions
  • Step 1: Call Holiday Inn Express Reservations Phone Number: 1-800-465-4329 
  • Step 2: Tell them the Holiday Inn Express Kansas City Downtown
  • Step 3: Tell them the arrival date: November 7, 2025
  • Step 4: Ask for The Diocese of West Missouri Block or DWM Group Code
  • Step 5: Provide the Reservationist with the required information
  • Step 6: Complete reservation

  • Step 2: Select Arrival date: November 7, 2025
  • Step 3: Select Departure Date: November 8, 2025
  • Step 4: Select the room
  • Step 5: Complete personal information
  • Step 6: Follow Prompt to apply credit card and complete reservation
