On Saturday, January 18, The Diocese of West Missouri celebrated the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral with Former Presiding Bishop Michael Curry.
A luncheon fundraiser was held in Founders’ Hall at 11 a.m., where funds were used to support the Reverend Canon Edward L. Warner Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians. The Most Rev. Michael Curry spoke at the luncheon fundraiser about the importance of diversity within the Church.
Afterwards, an evensong service was held in the nave of the Cathedral, with the Most Rev. Michael Curry preaching during the service.
Pictures of the event and a link to the service can be found below. Thank you to everyone who came. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all again next year!
