The Rev. Charles A. (Chas) Marks serves as the Transitions Missioner of The Diocese of West Missouri, and also as the current rector of St. Augustine’s Church in Kansas City. The Transition Missioner is responsible for the discernment and profile assistance of clergy transitions, and clergy searches, assessment, and interim clergy for congregations.
Prior to the Transitions Missioner and St. Augustine’s, he has also served as Associate Rector at St. Mary’s Church, Kansas City and before his ordination worked in social services with homeless and runaway youth. He is a graduate of Wichita State University, St. Meinrad School of Theology, and The Bishop Kemper School for Ministry. Fr. Marks is also an instructor at The Bishop Kemper School for Ministry. He is a member of the Society of Catholic Priests, a fellowship of Episcopal clergy that promote priestly spirituality and catholic evangelism. Fr. Chas and his husband live nearby in Historic Northeast Kansas City.
