Grandparents for Gun Safety Forum
Guns are the leading cause of death of children and teens in Missouri, Kansas and the U.S. 6.7 million children in the U.S. live in a home with at least one unlocked and loaded firearm.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
That’s why Grandparents for Gun Safety is hosting a forum on October 26 at 6 p.m. in the Goppert Theatre at Avila University.
Our youth who have grown up with active shooter drills may be the ones who change the future around gun violence. At this year’s forum, leaders of Project Unloaded, a national nonprofit focused on youth-led social media campaigns addressing the real risks of gun violence, will share their messages and strategies. Also a panel of local youth will discuss their gun violence experiences and concerns.
