As annual stewardship campaigns wrap up across our diocese, many of us have been spending time thoughtfully considering how we will share our gifts of time, talent, and treasure with our parishes in the coming year. We are invited to reflect on how our giving expresses our faith and our deep gratitude for the abundance we have received from God.

However, stewardship extends far beyond our annual pledges. Have you considered how your support might continue beyond the coming year?

While it is not always thought of as a traditional part of stewardship, legacy giving is a profound way to declare our faith, share our blessings, and leave a lasting echo of what we believe, value, and love. As you reflect on the ministries and programs you support today, consider how you might sustain the life of your parish long after your earthly journey is complete. How might your generosity impact future generations of believers?

By taking time to plan now, you ensure that your wishes are honored and the values you hold dear endure. Just as importantly, legacy planning offers enduring peace of mind for you and for your loved ones; knowing that your faithful intentions are secured.

The Stewardship Commission supports churches in the diocese with all types of stewardship: annual, year-round, major gift, campaigns, and planned giving. To schedule a call or visit, please contact Amy Amason, amysamason@gmail.com, 478-457-5611. Also check out our resources on our website.
