EfM is called Education for Ministry but make no mistake – it is a reading and discussion group for lay people.
The program offers four years-worth of reading and discussion, but you may stop when you get full. EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and bring it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study, worship, and engage in theological reflection together.
The program invites participants into small, mentored groups that provide the framework for understanding life and shaping actions as Christian faith is deepened. EfM seminar groups meet in local settings and online, and provide a four-year curriculum that develops a theologically informed, reflective, and articulate laity.
Register to attend a Zoom EfM Open House on Tuesday, July 18 from 7-8 PM. Come meet with an EfM Mentor to learn more about how a seminar works. Both hybrid and in-person classes will be forming soon for fall. For more information please contact Kim at formation@diowestmo.org.
