AAPI Retreat Cropped

On April 18th, Philip Lofflin, Junior Warden at St. Mary’s of Kansas City, attended his second Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Leadership Retreat in Portland, Oregon, which was a group co-founded by Bishop Bruce and Bishop Allen Shin.

Over 50 clergy and lay leaders from across the country gathered for three days to network, discern, and discuss the church’s role to empower and strengthen Asian Americans, the fastest growing ethnic group in the country. This year, Philip served on the worship team and assisted with the music, while representing The Diocese of West Missouri.

Bishop Bruce and Philip have extended an invitation for our Diocese to host a future AAPI Conference in Kansas City. Thank you to Philip Lofflin for your continued leadership and support for the Asiamerica Ministries over the last two years. We look forward to seeing your continued work.
