Dear siblings in Christ,
I write today to let you know about a staff change here in The Diocese of West Missouri.
The Rev. David Wilcox has resigned as the Diocesan Youth Missioner effective December 31, 2024. We thank David for his service to the diocese and wish him well on his future endeavors.
In consultation with the Diocesan Youth Commission, it was agreed that we don’t want the good work and momentum Fr. David created for our youth to falter. To that end, I have asked Kim Snodgrass to step in part-time to coordinate upcoming youth events. Members of the Youth Commission have volunteered to be in charge of individual youth events, with Kim ensuring they have volunteer support and all they need to have a successful event.
We anticipate this arrangement to run through July 2025, giving Bishop-elect Amy Dafler Meaux time to get settled here and decide how she would like this ministry to be carried out going forward.
