Guns to Gardens: Safe Surrender Event

Central Presbyterian Church is hosting their 2nd annual Guns to Gardens: Safe Surrender Event on Saturday, October 25 from 9 a.m. -1 p.m.

Guns to Gardens is a national movement where people can surrender their unwanted firearms safely, responsibly, and anonymously. Based on Isaiah 2:4, “…beat their swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks,” the movement aims to make the community safer and more richly connected. Grocery store gift cards are offered in appreciation for surrendered firearms, and last year alone saw 81 firearms surrendered from participants, including 34 semi-automatics.
