The University of Kansas Health System is seeking compassionate lay leaders and clergy to volunteer with the Spiritual Care Team.

Spiritual Care Volunteers will be able to offer a listening ear, devotional materials, or prayers to patients, depending on your unique preferences and needs. This helps extend care to patients within the Health System, allows Staff Chaplains to provide more focused care for the most critical among us, and enriches the lives of our Volunteers who better align their faith with action. At this time, the Kansas Health System are especially looking for volunteers to serve at the KCKS Campus at 39th and Rainbow, the Olathe Campus (formerly Olathe Medical Center), and a couple of smaller outpatient clinics.

The next Spiritual Care Volunteer Orientation will take place on the morning of Friday, March 6. Small onboarding steps must be completed prior to attending the orientation. Thus, RSVPs are required. Anyone interested can RSVP or ask questions by emailing Jeff Stegner (jstegner@kumc.edu). More details will be sent out once you’ve RSVP’d.
