St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is hosting a benefit concert and lecture for the Good Samaritan Center and The Necessity Pantry on Saturday, November 2 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, November 3 at 3 p.m.

A quintet incarnation of Sacred & Secular will play two concert-and-lecture programs in November, featuring music by Leonard Cohen. Don Compier, retired dean from the Bishop Kemper School for Ministry, will be one of the lecturers. Proceeds will benefit the Good Samaritan Center food pantry in Excelsior Springs and The Necessity Pantry at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Independence.

One nonperishable food item or toiletry item is required for admission. Free will donations are also encouraged.
