On February 15-16, The Diocese of West Missouri celebrated Absalom Jones with the Rev. Dr. Gayle Fisher-Stewart!
On the 15th, a panel discussion was held at Founders’ Hall in Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral to discuss the Rev. Dr. Gayle’s book “Black and Episcopalian, The Struggle for Inclusion.” Proceeds from the fundraiser will assist the Diversity and Reconciliation’s Juneteenth Trip to southern Missouri in June of this year.
On the 16th, a service for Absalom Jones was held at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, with Bishop Diane celebrating and the Rev. Dr. Gayle preaching.
