Heartland Episcopal Cursillo Ultreya: Making Room
Heartland Episcopal Cursillo is inviting you to a special Ultreya on December 13, from 10 a.m. – noon at St. Mary’s in Kansas City AND St. James in Springfield. This gathering will be a time of fellowship, reflection, and joyful community as we explore our Advent theme: “Making Room: The Spiritual Practice of Hospitality.”
People will be invited to reflect on what it means to “make room” for Christ, for one another, and for the stranger. In the spirit of Cursillo, those gathered will share stories, deepen their faith, and encourage one another as they continue their Fourth Day journey.
If you’d like to join, please bring your favorite food to share for the potluck brunch, filled with good company and good cheer. There will also be a White Elephant Gift Exchange, featuring the theme of “Roosters and Rainbows.” Bring something fun, colorful, or delightfully unexpected—let the Spirit and your imagination guide you!
This Ultreya is open to all Cursillistas as well as anyone interested in learning more about Cursillo. It’s a perfect opportunity to reconnect, meet new friends, and celebrate the joy of Christian community. Mark your calendars, gather your gifts, prepare your hearts, and come ready to make room—both for Christ and for one another.
