Juneteenth Trip to Pierce City
The Diversity and Reconciliation Commission invite you to the Juneteenth tour in Pierce City, Missouri on Thursday, June 19.Â

We will leave from St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church and head to the lynching site of three African Americans. Mr. Murray Bishoff of the Monett Journal will be our guide and provide some history of this tragic event. From the lynching site, we will head to Diamond, Missouri to go see the George Washington Carver Museum, and then stop at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Joplin for lunch.

Transportation will be provided by Crossroads Tours. We will depart St. Augustine’s at 8:30 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. The cost of lunch and snacks is $25.
