Junior High Retreat

Join the diocese from April 17 – 19 at St. James Episcopal Church in Springfield for a weekend bursting with hands‑on learning, worship, and fun as we dive into the world of being Episcopalian!

Roll up your sleeves at interactive stations where you can try out real worship roles—acolyte, lector, usher—and learn why we move, speak, and serve the way we do in church. Bake communion bread while discovering why we use the bread we do. Explore vestments and uncover the meaning behind all those layers priest’s wear. Come curious and leave with a deeper sense of how our worship tells the story of our faith.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a youth weekend without some big fun. Saturday night we’ll carpool for bowling or laser tag.

Everyone will head home following the Sunday service. Optional lunch at Lamberts Cafe. Youth will be responsible for their own lunch.
