Heartland Cursillo joyfully held its first Cursillo Weekend since 2019. After years of waiting, praying, and trusting in God’s timing, the Heartland Secretariat welcomed candidates, sponsors, and team members to a weekend filled with grace, fellowship, and renewal.
The pandemic years brought many challenges—postponed gatherings, cancelled weekends, and a sense of spiritual longing. Yet, through it all, God was at work, preparing hearts and stirring hope for the day we could gather again in person. This year, that day finally arrived.
The weekend was a reminder of what makes Cursillo so special: the deepening of our relationship with Christ, the encouragement of Christian community, and the call to live out our faith more fully in our everyday lives. Laughter and music filled the halls, powerful talks touched hearts, and moments of quiet prayer opened the door for the Holy Spirit to move in powerful ways.
As we move forward, we are reminded that the mission of Cursillo has not changed—make a friend, be a friend, and bring that friend to Christ. Our community has been strengthened, our spirits renewed, and our resolve deepened to live as joyful witnesses of God’s love in the Heartland and beyond.
