Introducing the Discipleship Team!

The Diocese of West Missouri is pleased to introduce our new Discipleship Team: Kim Snodgrass, Meredith Seaton, and Riley Brown!

This team approach is designed to fulfill our vision of collaborative and sustainable ministry. Rooted in the belief that “teamwork makes the dream work,” we’re committed to building a responsive, Spirit-led ministry that equips and empowers children, youth, and young adults across West Missouri.

The Discipleship Team will meet regularly to strategize, coordinate, and implement initiatives that address the unique needs of our congregations. In partnership with the bishop, as well as the Children’s, Youth, College and Young Adult, and Spiritual Formation Commission, the team will collaboratively shape a three-to-five-year strategic plan for discipleship in The Diocese of West Missouri.

The Discipleship Team is also looking to expand the team with a Missioner for 3rd through 5th grade. If you have experience serving this age group and are interested in serving these families, please contact Kim Snodgrass or Bishop Amy.

Meet the Team

On Wednesday, August 20 at 7 p.m., the Discipleship Team will be holding a virtual meeting for all adult volunteers, clergy, parents, and diocesan leaders. This 30-minute virtual meetup will be a chance for you to connect and collaborate around discipleship ministry across the diocese. We’ll discuss ways we can support one another, upcoming events and opportunities, and ideas for volunteer engagement. We highly encourage churches to follow this meeting with a local youth evening gathering—a great way to put ideas into action right away! Register below to receive a link.

We are so excited for this new chapter of ministry in our diocese. This is not only a renewed investment in our youth—it is a revitalization of discipleship for every age. Now is the time to encourage, equip, and empower the faith of all ages! Let’s get started.Â
