After dozens of coffees and hours of brainstorming, creating, and reviewing, The Diocese of West Missouri is pleased to announce the official launch of our brand-new website!
While there was a slight technical error shortly after launch on Monday, November 6 that caused us to revert to the original site for a short period, we’re happy to report that we’ve resolved the issue and the new website is back up and running!
Aside from a new color scheme and some updated fonts, you may notice that our new site has everything you need in one place. This means no more switching between a “spirit” site, an “office” site, and the “main” site (yay!).
The new website includes many items that you may be familiar with already, such as leadership and staff details, annual convention information, who we are, and more. That said, the new website focuses on other aspects of our diocese, including detailed pages of different committees and ministries, and available resources for you to download and refer to as needed.
My hope with this focus is that you will be able to use this new website as a valuable source for information and collaboration across the diocese.
While the website may be up and running, we are still in “migration mode”, which means you may still see some more updates in the near future. This includes updated bios for leadership, more fleshed out functionality for the events page, a new clergy directory resource, and other small, quality-of-life updates.
I’d like to take this time and say thank you to the Communications Committee for all your hard work in assisting with this project. You’ve been instrumental in creating this brand-new website and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for communication across the diocese.
I’d also like to thank FMK Agency for their work in helping us develop this website. Without their countless hours and expertise, the website would not be where it is today.
Finally, I’d like to thank everyone within, and outside, the diocese for your patience and understanding as we worked to make this website come to life. I hope that you’ll find the new website fun and rewarding to look through, just as it was to make it.
If you have any questions or feedback about the new website, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
Thank You,
Zach Phillips, Communications Director
