As Communications Director, Zach’s focus is to help promote churches and communicate each parishes and congregations message across the diocese to other members. He also provides and manages website hosting and access to administrative services to the churches of the diocese, shares news of what’s going on in the diocese and the general Church, plus gives advice and training on communication methods, best practices, and technologies.
Zachary Phillips was born and raised in Seneca, Kansas where he attended Nemaha Valley High School. Throughout high school, Zach enjoyed performing in the school theater and competing in drama and speech competitions.
After high school, he attended Kansas State University where he got his bachelor’s degree in mass communications. Once he graduated, he moved to Kansas City where he began working as a marketing coordinator for a speaker manufacturing company, where he later went on to work as a digital strategist for a marketing agency before joining the diocese.
In his free time, Zach enjoys taking walks with his husband, David, and their dog Ollie. He also enjoys playing video and board games with his friends, watching Marvel films, and cooking new dishes.
