On January 30, The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS) visited The Diocese of West Missouri for a day of learning opportunities and resource sharing amongst clergy and lay leaders in the area. Hosted by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, the conference welcomed more than 50 Episcopalians from Kansas and West Missouri. Participants engaged with TENS leaders through three focused sessions to inspire ministry and create action items for their congregations:
- Funding Our Mission as Followers of Christ: Best Practices & Tools
- Every Gift Matters: Celebrating Diversity, Maximizing Member Engagement
- Year-Round Stewardship: Best Practices
“The trainers at the TENS Conference did a great job of grounding our conversations about stewardship in the Church’s mission and our baptismal call,” said the Rev. Canon Chas Marks, Canon for Common Mission. “The tools and skills they presented were practical and offer what may be for some a fresh approach to stewardship, not just as fundraising, but as spiritual formation.”
Thank you to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City for hosting and thank you to TENS for sharing your knowledge and resources with our diocese! We’re grateful for your ministry to this church.
