Event Details

When: Wednesday, March 27, 2024
Where: Missouri Capitol | 201 W. Capitol Ave., Jefferson City, MO 65101

You’re invited to join Missouri “Moms Demand Action” at their Advocacy/Lobby Day in Jefferson City on Wednesday, March 27. The day will begin at 9:30 a.m. at a conference space a few blocks from the Capitol, where we will hear from lawmakers, and learn about how to effectively talk to both friendly and unfriendly lawmakers to ask for Missouri to pass common sense gun laws. After this time, we will then walk up to the Capitol (transportation provided for those who need it), break into small groups, and go inside to start talking to lawmakers and advocate for gun safety.

You can RSVP to participate at the link below. RSVPing will let organizers know how many to expect, and allow them to help create groups of those who live near each other.

There will be carpools set up from the Kansas City area and the Springfield/Joplin area, or if you have friends going from your church or the diocese, I recommend carpooling together. If you have questions about carpools, let me know and I can put you in touch with the carpool sign up.
I know that this is during Holy Week, but I hope that this date will work for some. If your family has Spring Break at this time, children and teens are welcome.
